The operations center of the organization for road safety and traffic information on Savoy routes (PC OSIRIS) was created in 1992, on the occasion of the winter Olympic Games. It is a shared service between the Departmental of Savoy and the interdepartmental directorate of central-east roads (Direction Interdépartementale des Routes Centre-Est, DIR CE). It enables a constant observation of more than 3260 kilometers of roads:
- 3200 kilometers of departmental roads
- 60 kilometers of national roads (RN90 in Tarentaise valley and RN201, the urban fast lane, in Chambéry).
